  FAQ

Q. What will happen at the Open House?

A. The Open House is an opportunity for us to welcome our neighbours and others who wish to learn more about our mosque, our community and our faith. We will be introducing our community, offering tours, answering questions, sharing multicultural snacks, and more!

Q. Are there any special requirements I should be aware of?

A. Our mosque is a welcoming place for all, so everyone is welcome without any pre-conditions. Upon entering, shoes are taken off to ensure cleanliness of the carpet for prayers. As in most places of worship, respectful and modest clothing is suggested. Our volunteers will be happy to answer any questions and offer guidance as needed, with a smile, of course!

Q. Is the facility accessible?

A. The main floor of our current mosque building is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor. All activities and displays will be on the main floor. The tour will have an option to go through the basement briefly, which is currently not accessible.

Q. Are children welcome?

A. Of course! Children of all ages are welcome with their parents/guardians. This year, we have special activities for children!

Q. Who do I contact if I have any further questions?

A. Please send an email to info@kanatamuslims.ca or leave us a message at (613) 973-5000. We look forward to seeing you soon!
